Some of you may be experiencing a strange wet sensation in your long johns during long afternoon walks – it’s nothing to be ashamed of, you’re just sweating. That’s because the seasonal climate changes are in the offing, and soon the dull grey skies of Autumn/Winter are going to be replaced with the aquamarine blue of Spring/Summer.  Your wardrobe needs to get lighter. Especially the upper shelf, where your collection of fine hats sit. Already we’ve applauded excellent leather Pork Pies and Fedoras, so today it’s the turn of something sensational and lightweight – a Trilby fashioned from finest cotton.

As everyone knows, an outfit can’t be called an outfit until you’ve got a hat on. Even during the summer. Problem is, it’s hard to find a hat that goes with long colourful shorts, flippy-flopsies, and a yellow vest. Or is it? Already we’ve doffed a big invisible cap to numerous Fedoras and Baker Boy Caps, and today it’s the turn of another Pork Pie – namely a cotton canvas one, in the colour sage.

No outfit is complete without a hat. There, we said it. Even those strange kids in hooded tops know that – hence why the wealthier amongst them choose to wear baseball caps. Or balaclavas if it’s dark and they’re criming it up. Already, we’ve honoured some excellent Pork Pies and Trilbys, now it’s time for the evergreen of hats – the Fedora, here in a gorgeous chocolate brown.

Now that everyone appears to be kitted out in the same regulation skinny jeans and lumberjack shirts, or natty old slacks and polo shirts, it’s important to distinguish yourself from the crowd. And what better way than with an impressively chosen hat? We absolutely adore the things. We’ve already doffed a gigantic invisible bowler to some fantastic pork pies and caps, and today it’s the turn of the Corduroy Pork Pie – ideal for spring. It comes in a rich burgandy, the colour of fine red wine.
