Fashion Targets Breast Cancer, The Proud Galleries, WEDNESDAY!

Published: 9th Nov, 2009

Featuring this woman…

Sophie Ellis Bextor

For all of the floppy haircuts, the confusing blouses, and the ankle-high basketball pumps, the fashion world isn’t all bad. Yes, these people might make you feel awkward and self-conscious, as you attempt to look at home in a set of skinny jeans that are suffocating your testicles and making you startlingly aware of your knee’s functionality whenever you walk, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t care about big important issues – like Breast Cancer. This Wednesday, some of London’s most beautiful – and probably a few of the most androgynous – people will be descending on The Proud Galleries to play edgy music, drink alcoholic drinks, and circulate the room with the sultry ease of a droplet of lovely rain water flowing down an expensive car window, all in the name of raising gargantuan amounts of money for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer. Sophie Ellis Bextor (pictured) will be there, Pearl Lowe will be there, a band called The Cheek will be there. Damn it, some models will be there! So says Natalie Legg, one of the fine minds behind the venture:

FTBC on the QT is our way of saying a huge thank you to all our supporters old and new for remaining loyal over the years and helping us to continue to fight breast cancer.  We are really looking forward to sharing this special evening with everyone and bringing the  fashion and music industry together in support of Fashion Targets Breast Cancer.”
