Forgotten beauties: Cynthia Myers

You know, from that Russ Meyer film…

We’re huge fans of old Russ Meyer films, and not just for the two most obvious reasons. The soundtracks are often pretty bouncy too. One particular favourite is Beyond The Valley of The Dolls – the tale of an all-girl rock group getting seduced by sex, drugs and fame. It features some very weird moments, and some absolutely marvelous freak outs. We’ve already featured Dolly Read – the band’s lead singer – and now it’s the turn of Cynthia Myers, a former Playboy playmate, who took the role of Casey in the film. And what a role it was, played to perfection, as the buxom guitarist falls into taking uppers, downers, dabbles in lesbianism, then eventually gets shot in the face by a manic Svengali. Yeah, it was pretty far out stuff, man. And just one look at Cynthia’s heavy bosom could blow your mind. What a gal.

Of course, we wouldn’t lavish the lads with Cynthia Myers, without a small gentlemanly garnish for the girls. Below is Tom Selleck
