Forgotten beauties: Susanna Hoffs

Singer, actress, erm, singer…

For a window in the 1980s, The Bangles were the most popular all-girl group around, just edging Bananarama for a time. Even so, it wasn’t the coolest move in the world to wander around the playground humming Eternal Flame. Unless, that is, you were in the mood for an atomic wedgie. You were, however, totally at liberty to talk long into playtime about Susanna Hoffs, the lead singer of the group, who had hair as dark and shiny as a raven’s cloak, and eyes as smoky as cigar night at Smokey Joes. She was one heck of a gal. She’s since gone on to occasionally act in things, and sometimes sing.

Of course, as ever, there will be no Susanna Hoffs magic without a little Tom Selleck illusion. Below is Tom Selleck.
