30 Rock, The Best of Liz Lemon
Despite their wars on terror, prom night axe murders, and grandpas sitting in swing chairs holding shotguns, Americans are actually really funny. It’s true. We have twelve episodes of The Office, while they have about two hundred episodes of Seinfeld, around seventy of Curb Your Enthusiasm, a bundle of Larry Sanders, a splosh of Arrested Development, a million Friends, and now about fifty 30 Rock. Oh, and their version of The Office wins, mainly thanks to a serious lack of Ricky Gervais. They’re hilarious people, as proven by Tina Fey, the big brain behind 30 Rock who turns a very funny 39 today. We simply had to get her a gift, so we went to a coffee shop with a equal ratio of boys to girls, and started wise cracking until the sarcastic cafe owner told us to pipe down. We then beat him to a bloody pulp. He won’t be talking down to his customers for a while. Anyway, after much chat it boiled down to a toss up between a Look In annual from 1985 or a clip of her best moments from 30 Rock so far. In the end we got her both. Happy Birthday Tina Fey!
